FESTA RUSTICA
As a recorder soloist, cellist and Director of the Baroque Ensemble Festa Rustica, that he founded in 1994 on copies of ancient instruments, Giorgio Matteoli recorded a rich and award-winning discography that embraces works of well-known and lesser-known authors of the Italian and German Baroque repertoire. Among the awards and recommendations obtained for its world premieres we remember: the Fanfare’s “Want List” obtained with the Cd of the Concertos for recorder and strings by F. Mancini, the 5 Stars Amadeus obtained with the recorder concertos by N. Fiorenza and the maximum score for the sonatas for cello and bass by G. Cervetto.
THE PALM COURT QUARTET
For the Idyllium label The Palm Court Quartet has recorded “Greatest International Pop Hits for string quartet” a “live” CD including music by A. Ll. Webber, some of the immortal melodies by George Gershwin and Cole Porter, famous soundtracks of authors such as Nino Rota and J. Williams and famous pop’s ever green.
RECORDINGS WITH OTHER ENSEMBLES
As a baroque cellist and recorder player Giorgio Matteoli worked with various ensembles including the Ensemble “La Fenice”, the “Alessandro Stradella Consort”, the Ensemble “Albalonga”, the “Ensemble Seicentonovecento” and others, recording for the Fonit Cetra, Nuova Era, Brilliant, Bongiovanni, Concerto and Cahndos labels.
SOUNDTRACKS
Giorgio Matteoli was the recorder soloist of the soundtrack to the international co-production “The Bible”, with musics written by E. Morricone and M. Frisina, winner of the “Kable Ace” (American television Oscar).
